Commencement Schedule
- 7:45 am: Graduates assemble in the Aloha Center Ballroom for the academic procession.
- 8:00 am: Cannon Activities Center doors open for accessible entry only
- 8:30 am: Cannon Activities Center doors open for general admission
- 9:00 am: Family and friends to be seated in the Cannon Activities Center.
- 9:15 am: Academic procession departs from the Aloha Plaza.
- 9:30 am: Commencement exercises begin.
- Lei giving to follow outside the CAC at the conclusion of the ceremony.

About the Speaker
Elder Hugo E. Martínez was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 5, 2014.
Church Service
At the time of his call, he had been serving as a member of the Fourth Quorum of the Seventy in the Caribbean Area. He has served as President of the Africa West Area, as a member of the Caribbean Area Presidency, and in Salt Lake City at Church headquarters. He currently serves as Second Counselor in the United States West Area.
Elder Martínez has served in numerous Church callings, including bishop, elders quorum president, district president, counselor in a mission presidency, president of the Guatemala City Central Mission (2005–2008), and Area Seventy.
Professional Life
Elder Martínez completed his premedical studies at the University of Mississippi, received a medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, and completed a family practice residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He worked for 20 years as a family physician and medical consultant before retiring in 2004.
Personal Life
Hugo Edgardo Martínez was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, on January 10, 1957. He married Nuria Merced Alvarez Pagan in December 1980. They are the parents of five children and fourteen grandchildren.
