Elder Jeremy R. Jaggi, General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be the featured speaker during BYU–Hawaii's Winter 2022 Commencement.

Commencement Schedule

  • 8:00 am: Cannon Activities Center doors open.
  • 8:00 am: Graduates assemble in the Aloha Center Ballroom for the academic procession.
  • 9:00 am: Family and friends to be seated in the Cannon Activities Center.
  • 9:15 am: Academic procession departs from the Aloha Center.
  • 9:30 am: Commencement exercises begin.
  • Lei giving to follow outside the CAC at the conclusion of the ceremony.

About the Speaker

Elder Jeremy R. Jaggi was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 4, 2020, at age 47. At the time of his call, he had been serving as an Area Seventy and a member of the Fifth Quorum of the Seventy in the Utah Area.

Elder Jaggi received a bachelor of science degree in behavioral science and health from the University of Utah in 1997. In 2002 he received an executive master of business administration degree from Pepperdine University. He has worked as a biotechnology marketing and sales executive at Amgen Inc. and Alkermes Inc. At the time of his call as a General Authority, he was heading the west sales region of Alkermes Inc. and managing commercial real estate at HCA Investments LLC.

Elder Jaggi has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Ohio Cleveland Mission, stake Missionary Preparation teacher, assistant stake executive secretary, elders quorum president, seminary teacher, counselor in a ward Young Men presidency, counselor in a bishopric, ward mission leader, bishop, and president of the Utah Ogden Mission from 2015 to 2018.

Jeremy Robert Jaggi was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 23, 1973. He married Amy Anne Stewart in 1995. They are the parents of four children.
